Oakville School is a K-8 school of approximately 150 students located in Oakville, Manitoba, Canada. The school has long been a symbol of the community’s independence and stability dating back over a century to 1906 when the original school was built. Despite a fire in 1959 that destroyed the old building, Oakville Elementary and Collegiate was constructed and open for students a year later. Since then, the school has undergone many changes including the building of our present gymnasium, a series of Principals and the departure of the Senior 1 classes. Despite all the changes OVS remains a vibrant and exciting place for children to learn. The community support continues to be tremendous and the staff, as always, is committed to student success. The greatest resource that OVS has always had at its disposal however, is and shall remain, it’s students! Go Panthers!
